There will be a My Apps menu next to the Help menu as shown in the screenshot if you are using Opera Handy Menu.
The idea of this menu is to enable quick access to some 3rd-party software and several system utilities within Opera.
To cut a long story short, there are three steps, and you can finish it within minutes.
Step 1 - Find “Handy Menu My Apps.ini” or “Handy Menu Pro.ini” in your computer, and open it with Notepad or any other text editors. The possible path:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Opera\profile\menu D:\Opera\profile\menu
Step 2 - Go to [Browser My Apps Menu] section, it should be like this:
[Browser My Apps Menu] Item, "Adobe PDF Reader" = Execute Program, "AcroRd32.exe" Item, "Adobe Acrobat" = Execute Program, "Acrobat.exe" ...
Step 3 - Begin modification.
The basic format of a menu item is
Item, "Name" = Execute Program, "path"
Note: path can be absolute path or just the executable file. Use absolute path when you see the “File not found.” pop-up warning.
Let's take UltraEdit for example. It is installed in D:\UltraEdit, and the excutable file is uedit32.exe. Then, we can add a menu item like this:
Item, "UltraEdit" = Execute Program, "D:\UltraEdit\uedit32.exe"
Now that's all, it's easy, isn't it?
You can add a submenu as I did in Opera Handy Menu, I think it's easy to do it yourself.
Please don't forget to backup your customization. You can apply your modifications directly to future version of Opera Handy Menu.
Good luck and happy modification.
By the way, somebody may be interested in the ,,,”Enable display images” and ,,,”Note” after the path. This will add an icon to the menu item, the icons are from Opera Skins, but please leave it along as it's just some small decorations.
